Pauline O'Neill (b. 1865 - d. 1961) was born in San Francisco, California and moved to Prescott with her parents in 1884. She married William Owen "Buckey" O'Neill in 1886 while he was the editor of the Hoof and Horn newspaper. (Buckey would go on to serve in the Rough Riders during the Spanish-American War and was killed in action in Cuba in 1898). Pauline O'Neill was involved in social reform movements, including women's suffrage.
